The warmth of Mediterranean nature and the awareness of having to preserve its memory, wealth and fertility find in the Voices of Migrants a strong point of the Museum. Testimonies and stories of human beings forced to leave their countries of origin in search of freedom and dignity lost at home underline the dimensions of a phenomenon which, as a problem, must become a resource for a future of peace and coexistence.

As an evidence of the many innocent deaths in Our Sea there is the monumental work Totem della Pace, with the urn of the "Unknown Migrant" created by the Museum in the Coast Guard Square on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Corps of the Port Authorities.
